Advice needed on external hard drive

Hi all,

I'm after an external hard drive as I'd like to back up everything on my laptop, I'll mainly use it for photos and music.

I don't know anything about the brand or external hard drives.

Also in true MSE style, does anyone know of a way of getting it cheaper? I have a £20 amazon voucher to go towards it so I'll not be able to find a better purchase price on another website and Amazon are not currently offering any cashback on quidco or topcashback.
