What us Google Chrome for ? I'm trying to clear up this laptop because its got tons of stuff on it that I never use, and GC is one of them. Also I've got something called Lightscribe Disc...what's that ? Can I delete these ?

Google chrome is a web browser, if you dont use it , then its safe to delete. Lightscribe is software for your DVD writer so it can burn lables on certain discs, I would leave this on the computer.

Leave GC on its FAST,small and a better browser. Dump IE8

I'm amiss as to why you have not heard of Chrome...

Chrome browser will be good to use and the options are like IE. It loads dynamic contents faster than IE.

I used Chrome instead of ie. I find it is much faster than ie. Especially when you have several tabs running. My computer grinds to a stand still with ie but with chrome just keeps plodding on.

I'm a crumbly and I dono these things ! And I use Firefox and like it. Thanks everybody

Yes Firefox is a different browser and it is good too with lot of add-on stuffs in it.

I love Firefox and the add ons are brilliant. So much faster than I.E.8
