redundancy/maternity

hi all,
heres the story....worked for my mum for 5yrs,im due to go on mat.leave 07/06/10,yesterday my mums deciced that the businness has to close next week,its not been making money.
will i get any redundacy money from the goverment? my mums been left with about £10000 debt,that she is going to pay of when she gets a job...

    you will get full maternity payment if you are qualified. Talk to your mums accountant

    You will get Maternity Allowance at the very least. £124 a week as you have worked for at least 26 weeks out of the test period (which is 66 weeks).

    Statutory maternity pay is only payable if you have an employer so you will need to claim Maternity Allowance which is based on your national insurance contributions. You must have paid for 26 weeks in the preceeeding 66 weeks before the claimRegardless of whether it is your mom you are also entitled to redundancy pay which can be paid by the National Insurance Fund if the employer is insolvent in some circumstances.
