for the cottage pie just tip the minced beef and onion into a casserole dish and top with a load of mashed potato! I like to dot the top with butter then put into a hot oven for about half hour until nicely browned. Thats the basic version! but its lovely! especially with brown sauce and chips on the side!

And sprinkle some grated cheese over the potato before it goes into the oven, really tasty and crispy. And/or you could put a tin of/some cooked carrots in with mince to stretch it or some mushrooms if you had them.

i recently use a tinned of this, we were given it and i was very dubios so thought a pie would be best bet. It was really nice. the mince beef is alot smaller is size but the taste was good. however when i opened the tin i thought it looked grim , but i'm glad now i tried it. it not something i would buy regular but to have in back of cupboard for emerygancy use then it great. i would def eat again.
