    To RokerP

I have used the 'Wayback Machine' (beta interface) to look for old IAW web pages, the latest dates back to 27 Mar 2009. There are some brochures and the 'IAW Code of Practice' that emphasises their compliance procedures with regard to members integrity, competence, etc! May be worth a look.

Saversims - I simarlarly transferred to Horbuckle and subsequently was advised to then transfer to Montpellier. After not receiving any paperwork and some further investigation I found that my fund was still with Hornbuckle and had not been transferred at all.

Suggest you contact HM and you will hopefully have the same result !!

Did you get transfered to Montpelier after all? What now? They are looking to sell the sipp business.

Apart from Montpelier, in case it hasn't been noticed, the Quadris fund has been suspended again due to liquidity problems. Anyone who had their funds put into Quadris by PCD/IAW without their knowledge or consent could possibly lose the lot! Search on "Quadris environmental fund suspension" for details. If anyone has not complained to the Ombudsman/FSA/whoever please do.

Yes, thankfully, my money was still with HM, although not invested in a pension fund! Phew!!

I'm now paranoid about taking advice on selecting another pension fund!
  • TDMM. Do you know if Interalliance being investigated by the FSA? Also Are you still helping clients with their claims etc?
  • I worked for this company and I regret to say my time there was not a happy one. I found those in charge have little time for their employees. I experienced sexist remarks from my co-workers. When i brought this to the attention of my boss he laughed and said it was 'just a bit of fun' This and the fact the wages were a joke, made it an unpleasant working environment. I can not speak about the firm from the point of view of a customer. I just speak of my personal experience of working within the Leicester office

...Be assured that this is being taken seriously by the NFA, but the NFIB will rightly need to be persuaded that there is a substantive basis for such complaints before commiting to any investigation....
    Any progress yet?

    More alleged misselling:
    • Do Google search for "'Publish at your peril' warns financial giant" to find Daily Mail article on IAW's parent company
    • Do Google search for "Danske Bank equity release fiasco" to find lawyer's blog on alleged IAW-related misselling case in Spain
Company info and directors' names: www[dot]levelbusiness[dot]com/doc/company/uk/FC029522

IAW also appears to be called Globalnet:
Do Google search for "Director and Founder Inter-Alliance Worldnet / Globalnet" or for "First Choice Financial Consultants are members of GlobalNet (formerly Inter Alliance WorldNet)" or for "The Firm was an appointed agent of Inter Alliance Worldnet Insurance Agents and Advisors (Now known as GlobalNet)"

Is the buck being passed around? Try a google search for: "FOS puts IAW complaints on hold as FSA investigates"
  • This last posting, relating to a financial press article, takes us nowhere. But no-one else reports back to complainants.

It's all very well isn't it. The FSA have known about these complaints for 18 months. Anyone reading the posts on this forum can tell there are several facets to 'Complaints' and each warrants specific action from the relevant 'Authority'. It's the resolve that's lacking.

    1. Equitable Life failed to keep members details secure and they fell into the wrong hands
    2. IAW formed an alliance with PCD, both setting up offices in Wilmslow but neither 'office' being an authentic place of business
    3. IAW marketed Pensions Services via PCD when not authorised so to do
    4. Hornbuckle Mitchell conducted inadequate background checks
    5. Salesmen misrepresented PCD's qualifications, business skills and business practices
    6. PCD salesmen mis-sold schemes which were not in the best interests of the client
    7. PCD illegally altered client application proformae in order to deduct transfer and investment fees
    8. PCD commandeered clients pension funds by investing without consultation or agreement
    9. IAW commitment to return monies have not been honoured
    10. PCD personnel have absented themselves and vacated business premises
    11. Equitable Life offer neither explanation nor apology to clients
    12. Communications emanating from IAW and/or PCD have ceased

All the above are verifiable. BBC Panorama ran a programme; the financial press have reported from time to time, but who will conduct a transparent investigation? I doubt it's the FSA or FSO who will deliver.
