Strawberry Pests?

I am hoping someone can advise me about the strawberry plants I have in the greenhouse. They all appeared to be growing well and some have now gone outside but one in the greenhouse appears to have been attacked!

The flower has been completely destroyed and the leaves are partly eaten it seems. No slugs are there so could there be some bugs that are responsible?

Would they be better off outside by now?

Strawbs are hardy - so they should be outside all year round.

Pop them all outside, and put straw round them [yes, that's why they are called strawberries], water them in [if in the ground] and leave them be.

They should recover and if not, they will grow back next year or the others will throw out babies for next year's plants. The only things you have to do with strawbs is to plant them out, straw them up and trim back any red foliage during the winter/early spring. Oh, and pick the strawbs of course.

Sounds like weevil problems. half eaten leaves, rotting buds or buds that appear to have been cut off. classic signs.

empty the pot and look for signs of grubs or weevils.. look at the website for a description. repot the strawberriy after the all clear and enjoy the fruits. That is of course if it is weevil. or indeed if they are in pots........
