Tax Credit Renewal?

Hi there,
I received my renewal pack a few weeks back, and sent it back giving income details for last year. I also phoned them to give them my new predicted income for this tax year. Since, I've received a payment (diiferent to usual amount as expected) but have received no paperwork from them confirming what my new payments are to be.
Is this normal or should I give them a call? I'd like to know what income I'm going to have over the next year!
