It's not karma, I just love it when people come on asking can they keep money they are in no way entitled to, when they would be shouting the odds if they were on the other side of the mistake.I'm not bad at golf, I just get better value for money when I take more shots!0

What if the OP spent the money on a new TV thinking the money was his. He than lives on the breadline, how is it fair for a company to make an error, and than force someone making ends meet to pay back £100.
Of course hypocrisy is annoying, but the law must be followed at all times if it is going to work.0 -
If things were tight, and the figure material enough to cause a struggle, shouldn't it have been noticed? I don't know about you, but I don't get random top ups to my bank balance for no reason.I'm not bad at golf, I just get better value for money when I take more shots!0

Its been six months, financial situations can change very quickly. Even so, I think its unfair to force someone to pay you back after they have spent the money because you made a mistake. I can see why you would disagree.0 -
Definitely unfair to cause them hardships in repayments, but also unfair to write it off completely imo.I'm not bad at golf, I just get better value for money when I take more shots!0

OP has no money. Is it any wonder with financial planning as mentioned above? Money goes into bank, doesn't notice, and it gets spent. I just can't fathom how someone that lives hand-to-mouth can't notice this.
You've been overpaid by a company. Yes you have to pay it back. If they had charged you twice, and you didn't notice until a few months down the line you'd be pretty annoyed if they said "oh lol we spent it, we didn't even know it was there, so we won't pay it back".
And toxic1990, please, please get a clue before posting ill-informed posts.
OP's best bet to is call the company, explain that you can't afford to pay it, and come to some kind of monthly arrangement. Failing this, they're entitled to seek payment through the relevant small claims processes.0 -

I raise your 'clue', with my contract textbook.0 -
