Hello all,
I am after some advice. My wife bought me on the 24/04/09 a voucher to use on any experience they offer, valid for one year. On the 16/04/10 I purchased an experience and paid an extra£70 as it was more than the voucher value. The supplier of the experience is offering the exact same product for £90 less. Treatme.net have a price promise policy which says:
"We will refund 150% of the difference if you find the same experience or product being offered online at a lower price within 14 days of your purchase"
I tried, within the 14 days, to make a claim but treatme.net is arguing that the voucher was bought in 2009 so the claim is not valid. My argument is that as a payment was taken from me on the 16/04 then this is the purchase date. Moreover, a voucher is not an experience so I have no opportunity to make a claim until such time as an experience is paruchased/booked.
What do you think? I believe the price promise as stated to be slightly misleading to say the least. Would you agree? Do I have any recourse? Is the purchase date that of the voucher or that of the extra payment?
Full details of their price promise is here:http://www.treatme.net/price_promise.php
Many thanks
Nic
