yes it will be classed as an accident. Claim or no claim, loss or no loss.
They stain your character for 5 years!!!! Insurance premium probably goes up.
Accident = higher risk driver = higher insurance price
Insurance companies are evil.... they dont want to pay you EVER, so they want info or loopholes to screw you, or to get more money from YOU.
I once scratched a car, parking, called my insurance "off the record' for advice, they marked it down, even though i paid cash to other party, my insurance has gone up and I have had one accident, well 2 now!0 -
Get a quote, Add 50% onto it then ask him politely for that amount.
If he refuses report him to the police for failing to stop at the scene he will get 6 points and a nice fine and you get to claim from his insurance. Dont forget to tell them how many points he received. He might not mention it to them.
