I like to use Google as my search engine & I've got the google toolbar. However, sine I upgraded to IE 8 ( which I dont like) I keep getting this stupid bar across the top of every page about Google would like access to my location. It doesn't matter how many times I click, NO, or close the bar, when I go on another page, it reappears. I have considered removing Google to stop this but is there another way?

After about 50 times it'll give up. I had that too.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

Yes it will be there for sometime and then it will be ok.0

I'd suggest removing it. I find all these toolbars annoying. You still should have the search box it the top corner which can be used for Google searches unless IE8 has had a radical redesign.0

Use Firefox, I think you will prefer it.That gum you like is coming back in style.0

If all you use it for is Google Search, then IE8 has an embedded search bar in the top right, next to the URL bar. I'd suggest you remove the toolbar and use that instead. If it currently says Bing, then it can easily be reconfigured if you'd prefer to use Google.
Toolbars are never a good thing IMHO, and can turn out to be more of a hindrance than a convenienceThe pen is mightier than the sword, and considerably easier to write with.

I prefer to use Bing for searches. It has proved more effective at stopping attacks from malicious web pages. Google let me into some very dodgy ones. Fortunately my protection software stopped infection but that still means doing a scan every time to be safe. As far as I am concerned, anything but Google.A fool may give advice but the one who takes it is the bigger fool.0
