I need to replace my sash windows at home and having visited the last Grand Design show, I was quite impressed with a window company called Grabex co uk. They got double glazed UPVC sahses imitating wood, A rated for a very good price.
Has anyone got any experience dealing with them? I believe they are Polish and haven't been stablished in UK for long time. Their products look quite good, but I wonder if anyone had any problem with the installation or the product itself. Any comments would be appreciated.
Many Thanks!

Grabex co uk DONT have an A rated sash window.

The only way to get a rated window at the moment is by registering with bfrc www.bfrc.org I did couldnt see them. We do have an A rated PVC sash window product and we are listed.

Also looked for them on the companies house web site found this company that looks the same that started in July 2007.....less than three years old but we all started somewhere. It may be different to what they said!

Happy to help if you wish other advice, plse pm

  • Dear Sashwindowsupvc and sashman,

Our company started trading as a sole trader in 2002 september(as grabex) then as partnership until 2007 when it incorporated as LTD. All documents ready to inspect in our showroom. We don't have rated A sashes approved by BFRC yet - we have time to do it until October this year(new Building Reg). We have approved casement so far - in different options including A+32 highest in the industry. Next step will be to approve as Rated - our timber sashes. We are a family owned business - and yes we are Polish but the company is UK based company, we manufacture here and use British components including Eurocell Profile, etc...I'm happy to contact you with our customers - satisfaction notes from completed installations are also in our showroom. I'm happy to help to respond to any other questions. Regards,

well now they know, No you dont have WER A rated for sash windows (that was their question) and the LTD company has only been trading since 2007.icon7.gif

The rest is self interest promotion, against the rules and spamicon9.gif

  • My post it wasn't SPAM and I am not related to GRABEX at all. I only wanted some reference about them and wanted to know about their UPVC wood grain effect sashes. Just want this to be clear!
