Househusband is someone who stays at home to look after the household duties. Unemployed is someone who is at home whilst they are looking for a job.
If you list your occupation as househusband and it turns out you are actualy unemployed, your policy will be declared void and you will be uninsured.
Now this is something we keep banging on about on this website - telling lies to your insurance company is otherwise known as FRAUD. You are entering into a contract using information you know to be untrue. Would you apply for a job and lie about your qualifications and then be surprised when you got fired after they found out?
Rant over.In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0 -

Good rant, but don't rant at me, rant at my insurance company.
As far as they were concerned, househusband/housewife is someone who is supported by their working partner. If you claim benefits at the same time they didn't really care, whether it was contibution based JSA, child benefit, carers allowance or anything else.
Possibly if it is income based JSA and is the only income, they may have have a different view.0
