HD Camcorder Help Please

Options
Off to Kenya in June and I'm looking at buying a HD Camcorder. I just want to be able to capture holiday footage then edit onto a Blu-Ray Disc. Nothing too fancy needed, and definitely within a low to mid budget.

I like the look of this camcorder, which appears to be getting excellent reviews:

or for a bit more, Sanyo are about to release the following in full HD:

However, one of the reviewers states that the camcorder records at 30fps (frames per second I presume?), whereas PAL is at 25fps, and therefore conversion is difficult.

My questions are:

a) can I download footage from the above camera and make a blu-ray of my trip?

b) what editing package would I need?

c) what memory card would I need?

Any help would be appreciated. I've tried researching online and it all gets a bit technical. I'm not a complete technophobe, but simple language please!!

Thank you
