What would you do?

I sold a kids top brand new with tags, one my daughter never got round to wearing as I buy too much stuff. Anyway buyer has left neutral feedback saying she paid more for it than it cost in shop! I am tempted to neg her as she chose to bid on it at the price she paid and as it happens she paid 30p than on tag! Is no one happy these days!! What would you do leave neutral or neg? I'm not sure If I'm just being too mean?

  • Hmm well I would be really annoyed with receiving a comment like that so I'd be inclined to neg the buyer. The buyer decides how much to bid, it's not like you forced them! What a stupid comment to have made.

I would neg the buyer. The best you might get out out of it is to mutually withdraw the feedback. The comments are absurd and you should protect yourself. These are the kind of buyers you don't want.

I'd want to neg her too but for future buyers you might look like a retaliatory negger. i.e she might come out looking better than you. I'd neut her back saying something like "No comms from buyer who bids and wins then complains later-be wary"

    Thank everyone haven't decided yet......

Shelley has a point I don't want to look like I just did it to get her back but well I would be so hum not sure......

Must be the day for it on ebay for me I now have a buyer complaining about postage costs, I personally never bid on things if I don't want to pay the postage stated. She is claiming I have unfairly added the cost of fees to my postage total ok so that may be wrong but who doesn't do it???? End of day it's not the buyer we are trying to get to pay more money but that we don't pay all our profits to ebay!! Grrrr

Hello!! Haven't been on this site for about 2 months, so I just thought I would add that I recently saw a silly neg feedback left for the seller, and the buyer just replied "wotever" which in my opinion made the buyer look really stupid. Good luck with whatever you choose to do (know what I'd do) - Go with your original gut feeling that they chose to buy from you!!! ;) x

i think it was really wicked of the buyer to neg you. personally i wouldn't stoop to her level and just wouldn't leave her any feedback at all. i might be inclined to add to what shes said with something along the lines of "i'm sorry you feel that way please feel free to return for a full refund"

it makes other people see the good in you and how pathetic the buyer is. I've read feedback left by sellers in follow up really attacking a neg or neutral and i just think 'what a moron' it just makes the seller look foolish when they verbally attack a buyer and start with the name calling and i'd never buy from someone like that. just mho but i think it looks pretty sad.

just ignore it and rise above it :)

I'd also leave a neutral, but I think that feedback may sound as though there was a genuine problem with the item. I'd go with something like "Buyer unhappy with price she chose to bid for accurately described item".

Thanks I left neutral saying "I did not make you bid that amount for top! your choice!" ;)
