Re Belkin goods, If you're having problems with belkin goods, Remember that almost all of their goods come with a lifetime warranty. SEE HERE :- http://www.belkin.com/uk/support/tech/warranty.asp . There's also a freephone number for support available, Alan.Every day when I wake up I thank the Lord I'm WELSH. .0

As I said earlier I bought my Belkin about 3 weeks ago. Annoyingly I have lost the reciept and bag (Well I blame the wife for throwing them out:rolleyes2 )
To be honest the Belkin does drop the connection every so often and even has DNS issues (I changed my PC to use the ISP DNS servers direct which has helped a little). The performance of the USB wireless thing is poor - it keeps disconnecting when I am downloading/uploading left overnight (e.g. I sent 250 digital photos to get developed over the net - it took three attempts to get them sent.)
I had a linksys 802.11b setup previously and it worked flawlessly. My plan is to to go back to PC World and ask them to exchange it for the Linksys deal - even though it is £15 more expensive I presume it will be better (and is also 125mb - although for my 10mb cable connection will not make any difference).
PS Some advice required. Can I take along a bank statement as proof of purchase? - I still have all the original packaging for the router etc?
PS I work in IT and my advice would be avoid. It works fine for some and not for others - I have tried a lot of config changes (though not all) and it still has ropey performance.
pS Grrr lost connection again during this post :mad:Cheers,

Bank statement as proof of purchase?
YES!Treat everyday as your last one on earth, and one day you will be right!0 -
I bought the Linksys and the router setup was in bloody German and dropped out all the time. Bought the Belkin perfect and £15 cheaper, never had a problem with Belkin and 24x7 support. This signature is not mine!0

I have heard stories that wireless routers frequently disconnect without no interference. I do not have a laptop and just a standard PC in my room. Is it worth going for wireless? I already have a adsl modem connected to my PC but I'm switching to SKY Broadband soon who will be giving me a free wireless modem.0
