Help! Dishwasher advice!

Hi guys, I really want a dishwasher but we haven't got room for one under the worktop. I have been looking at table top dishwashers and these seem really small, I only really wanted to put it on once a day. Is it possible to stand a standard dishwasher on top on the worktop? Will it be too high to use or will it be too heavy? Underneath where I wanted to put it is the drawer unit with 4 drawers in it if that makes a difference, I just wondered if anybody had done this or knew where would be a good place to get a standard/table top dishwasher from cheap. Thanks, yp
It's definitely not definately!

too heavy and too much vibration (not as much as a washing machine, but enough to move the worktop).
are these any good for you - a foot and a half wide: http://www.ogormans.co.uk/bosch6.htm
Get a spa machine from boots and use your bath, lol0 -

You are right, the table top ones are really small. Unless you hate washing up with a firey passion and can't fit one of the slimline ones in I really wouldn't bother.0 -
I have a little dishwasher that i fitted into a cupboard! I love it and couldnt live without it! its just big enough for two people so anymore and you will need bigger!0

I have a small tabletop DW and it is on my draining board (well I hardly need the use of a draining board any more do I!) on top of the worktop essentially. I have never had a problem, it has been there over a year. I got the idea from a work colleague who has done the same thing.
It is small but I live on my own so it's ok. I detest washing up with a passion, after working all day I'd rather not spend my evening scrubbing pans.0 -
There's a few table top dishwashers at Sainsbury's
