I've promised my good lady wife that she can have a grand in cash to take down to Monsoon and Russell & Bromley - in the combination of her choice!

Then? We start saving for [strike]her kitchen [/strike]the extension. Do I need one? Do I care for one? She, bless her, does...

What's all this DFW all about?

    ;-)

Travel, travel and travel! Was discussing this with someone earlier and I've seen so little of the UK, let alone the rest of the world! Getting married in 2008, so after that, we'll just be saving and saving to go somewhere exotic for a few months...

I can't wait to save either. I'm going to be saving for a house. I live in London so it'll take me 10 more years to save up the deposit, lol...

  • I've replied to this before I've read the rest of the post so forgive me....

I always think...that when I become debt free...it will mean more freedom..in every way.....however...I am more debt free than I was 10 year ago.....ok I am in more debt...but I have more money to throw at that debt.....so in effect am not as indebted as I was back then...has it changed my opinion about debt....probably not that much really....maybe I don't stress as much as I used to....but I still don't 'like' being in debt..and want to get rid of it ASAP.....probably to the detriment of my 'quality of life'..........

Now I am not saying that my debt is anywhere near other peoples...or that I add as much importance to it as they do...

In fact when I become 'debt free'...there will be another era of debt of one kind or another emerging....I hope to become a mum in the next couple of years...if that doesn't happen I'll have to focus on something else......but I if I don't have the money worries maybe I'll be able to do something more 'me'?.....no idea what that is by the way...ideas welcome:p
