Hint for all owners of Mini Plastic Greenhouses

I'm on my second plastic cover now for my mini 4-shelved plastic greenhouse and have found that one of the major damage points can be on the top edges of the cover where it rests on the sloping top metal roof tube. With the condensation that can build up inside the cover this causes rust to develop on the upper tube support and in time the top of the plastic cover will sag, stick to the tube when it's warm and the rust spots that have developed will tear the plastic.
To prevent this happening it's advisable to place a strip of waterproof tape like Duct tape along the upper surface of the top sloping tube to prevent rust developing. This will lengthen the life of both your metal structure and the plastic cover.

The other thing to do is take the cover off and store it away somewhere dark when you aren't using it - UV light attacks the plastic and makes it brittle so only having it out in the sun when its being used prolongs its life.
