Electricity meter with 4 rates
I have recently moved into my house and have discovered that my digital electricity meter has four rates.
The meter reader who last came to read it didn’t seem to fully understand what he was looking at and my last bill was estimated.
I can’t see how to reconcile the readings from the various rates to the bill which shows a charge for primary units and secondary units.
I am with E.ON on their ElectricityOnline UR plan. I
Does anyone know what type of meter I have, how I can interpret the various rates and how I can provide readings to the supplier from it?
Many thanks for any help.

Are you on Economy 7?
If so I know on my bill, they charge me a day rate and a night rate, and then for each of those a higher rate for the first X units.....so thats 4 rates, if that makes sense?0 -
Hi evansgra
You may have a non-standard meter like Heatwise or a Restricted Hours Tariff.
If you do have this type of meter, you will not be eligible for an online tariff. This may explain why we have estimated your account and why you cannot reconcile the actual readings with the bill.
It's important this is sorted out asap. Give us a call and we will be able to let you know the type of meter you have.
Alternatively, I would be happy to have a look for you. Just drop an email to the address in my Profile and I will check it out.
