Little update, after going to the enquiry centre today they have given me 2 weeks payment & done a referral (does anyone know what the referral process is?). She said it should be sorted within 2 weeks but is unsure if i will get a back payment then. I cant find any information on the referral process so if anyone knows anything about it that would be great.

    Craig,

It depends on what kind of referral they sent. Normally this would be an escalation, which is basically an email with your information passed on to the processing department.

Escalations can generally take up to 3 weeks. The head office will have been made aware your claim hasn't processed, that this is causing hardship (or they will think this if its not the case due to you receiving the 2 weeks pymt) and that this needs to be sorted asap.

Another thing I had thought of, is perhaps what they have done is as its not processing correctly, they may have referred this to be paid by manual giro's at the moment.

It may be worth phoning them to check exactly what kind of referral has been sent, i'd be happy to give you more advice once I knew what kind of referral has been sent
