Hello,
I was wondering if anyone can possibly help me?
i had too make a totally new tax credit claim, which i did in march, tax credits couldnt find said claim so they put a search on it and logged it
as found on april 11, now i have been phoned them everyday to find out when i will get a payment but for the last 2 weeks i keep getting told its all verifed, nothing is flagged just awaiting award it my last payment from them was at the end of march!
Does anyone know what i can do about this, how i can get it speeded up and into payment?

Ahhh i know the feeling
I stopped getting money in jan (last payment was 15th dec) Due to my DLA ended
When i got my DLA back a couple weeks later, i told tax credits, who after 2 months couldnt get my payments back working
So i sent a new claim which they recieved 30th March - they got it ok but 'withdrawn' the new application as it still showed my old one there!
Now like you ive been waiting ages for them to close the old claim and find out my new claim which they recieved in march!
I have been without payments since 15th December, and after waiting for them to find my new claim, they cant process it as my old one is still there grrrrr
Wrote an official complaint letter now, as its been over 5 months now!
So fed up of ringing them so many times chasing them up!Make £10 a day Challenge June - £1700 -
oh my, 5 months!!!!
Now im even more worried!
I really dont know what 2 do now, did you get a answer to your letter of complaint?0 -
I advise calling them back and asking them to make sure your previous award has been ended and ask why your new award hasn't yet been processed. There are a number of reasons why a new award is delayed going into payment and a number of "Verification Failures" and checks that need to be navigated by the system before it can be fully processed.
And if you have children make sure your ex-partner hasn't submitted a claim himself as only one person can receive Tax Credits for the same child and it should be the person receiving Child Benefit.0 -
I only sent my complaint letter the other day so have to wait 15 working days for a response!
I now found out today my old claim is now terminated (Finally)
Now i just need them to find out the claim i sent back in march and process that!
They did say they can send me out a new one (Should be a simple claim, Single, No children, just working 16 hrs a week due to disability - so get DLA (non means tested) so just my part time wage)
If i do a new form. they can only backdate 93 days. so would lose 2 months money - they said they can request to be paid more than 93 days - but would be another struggle and hassle i dont need!Make £10 a day Challenge June - £1700
