Co-op cashminder

Just want to add my thoughts on the cashminder from the Co-op. Brilliant...went into the branch in Liverpool 2 hours after my BR and it was sorted in about 10 minutes. Treated like they actually wanted my business...NO tut tutting or judgement...just welcome to the Co-op sir!
And internet banking without even asking!
I think the Co-op are building up a sizeable business at the expense of the rest of the banking industry. :T0 -

I've been a member of the Co-op for a couple of years and I've just opened a cashminder account. How do I 'earn' any bonuses (divi) through the banking? They didn't ask if I was a member when I opened my account.0

I have to say when I diid mine over the phone the chap couldnt have been more pleasant.0

You can apply in store or online to be a member and get six monthly dividends. Havent had any yet though, not sure if it works! Same as befoe though, e careful working out your money it is a bit slow on transactions, so you do have to budget carefully.

I opened my account today. Very easy to do over the telephone, very very pleasant young woman took me through every step. I thought customer service was a thing of the past. Turns out I have to be going bankrupt to find it

If anyone is holding back from doing this, don't! Its very easy, she even explained what would happen in the bankruptcy process.

Like I said, I've been a member of the Co-op for a couple of years and do a lot of my shopping there. I just don't know how the anking ties in with it. I suppose time will tell.0 -

divi? CAshminders? yup!
the divi is calculated on the amounts paid into your account, I believe..[it explains it all on the divi site...]...only costs a quid.....I got a few bob out of it last year...not a lot, but nice all the same...No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......0 -
Oh I haven't linked my membership to my account, better look into that I think!
As for the coop banking etc, I couldn't be more pleased, the internet is brilliant, I know it's not real time, but I have a spreadsheet set up and whenever we use the card I put it on there, so the spreadsheet is my real time balance.
The customer service staff are lovely, really helpful, I have only had to call them a few times and each time have come off the phone with a smile on my face, they are great, so much better than other call centres, other banks out there could take a leaf or three out of the co-ops book I think!
We will be sticking with the co-op now even after discharge, so much better.
Off now to look at the divi site and see what I need to do lol!
eta: so I did look, and have no idea if my bank account is linked to the divi account? how do I find that out? I don't think it can be though looking at the points earned.... anyone?0
