swapping credit cards saving money

Could someone tell me if this is right it seemed hard to believe i have a capital one credit card the interest rates have gone up quite high due to purchases, i also have another credit card where they are offering 0% for 6mths on balance transfers, i have been told by capital one that if i transfer the balance off there card to another one then go back to them i will get a really low interest rate for the life of the balance so if this is right i will save 6mths interest then pay a lot less interest than i have been paying.
