NatWest Credit Card Late payment fee

I missed my min payment by two days, however, when i realised this, I sent the payment + a little more (probably sending a little more upset them!) anyway, the payment was received with-in the statement period ie the term the min payment was due in.
They refused to refund a late payment fee, however met me 50% due to a failed call back.
I'm going to clear the card, and say goodbye Natwest

Won't work - I sent them a cheque for mine as I was told I couldn't set up internet banking or a direct debit to them, and it took them 11 days to clear a cheque with avaliable funds, I called them and basically got told "No way are we refunding, its not our fault", dispite it being sent 11 days early before the due date and they take 6-7 days to send/clear first class ¬¬~*Cerenia*~

I think 50% is a fair offer, in line with OFT regulation I suppose.
I love it when people get stroppy because they dont observe their terms and conditions and blame everyone but themselves. I get the impression that you wont learn from this because you dont think you have done anything wrong.0
