I am sure that I got rid of this virus by doing an online virus scan at panda http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/
After I received a few viruses I got a bit paranoid and did not just rely on AVG. There are a number of online virus scans ie Bit defender, Housecall, RAV, Trend Micro some pick up somethings that others miss.

  • I might be missing something here, but can't you just delete the file in Windows Explorer.

I have looked and searched and cannot find it.... it seems to be linked to an email sent to my son's MSN account.

    Help.....

The reason you can't see the file is probably because the file or folder is hidden.

In Windows Explorer, go to Tools -> Folder Options. Then under the View tab, there is an option to 'show all files'. Select it then click OK.

    Now try deleting the file
