Well I have never been to Pontins and I have never been to Butlins Skegness but I have been to Butlins Bognor and everyone says all the Butlins are pretty much the same so I will have to say Butlins hands down :T.
I would never go to any of the Butlins 'rivals' now because I just don't think it would be up to the Butlins standard and I would just be disappointed.Slimming World - 3 stone 8 1/2lbs in 7 months and now at target :j0 -
hi to you both i confess we went to southport pontins BAD MISTAKE the acomadation was the pits.the day time stuff was only on at certain times because they dont employ enough people so they will do one thing then move to the next.but butlins skegness 10 years in a row and still going my oldest kid is nearly 19 and still comes may be not for the same reasons he used to go lol.the only thing is the supermarket expensive but there is a morrisons in skegness.if you look on this board butlins has been discussed a lot in the last few days and it will give you a good idea what to expect.

Been to Pontins Southport and it's not great.
There are plenty of reviews for both on the Internet, it's worth looking.
Only UK chain place I've never heard any complaints about is Center Parcs - but that's pricier!0 -
Been to both and its Butlins all the way !
No competition really0 -
Wouldnt touch pontins if I was paid to go, dirty horrible place, expensive, staff pretty appaling on the whole, worst holiday ever.
We go to Butlins now and have a brilliant time, such a big difference.0 -
Haven?
Have you seen the price of butlins? I wanted a week there end of may, The bank holiday week, £800 for a week room only.
I didnt even bother enquiring about disabled access.
Booked elsewhere near butlins at skegness for £400, A proper disabled caravan.
If we were not going with the inlaws we would have gone to haven @ mablethorpe, and paid less than £100 camping.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

To be fair you did pick the most expensive week outside of August! Plus you would have got a free upgrade when you arrived as the disabled units have a lounge and kitchen area.
OP, when I worked at Butlins a colleague left to go to Pontins. They were back within a week - it was not nice!Gone ... or have I?0 -
may i say if anyone wants to save at butlins search online for private caravan hire my wife is disabled and she manages ok.the price of butlins acomadatiopn is costly but when you think whats on they have to charge a lot and pack the place to run at a proffitweve stopped at lots of other companys parks but nothing comes near butlins.
