You would lose all the means tested benefits with that sort of capital.

DLA won't be affected. Neither will child benefit.

Wouldn't be right to claim means tested benefits if you can afford to support yourself.

There certainly is help! You'll have £40,000 which will go a long way to helping you continue your studies and provide for your children, pay your bills etc. Well done - that'll certainly take away alot of the stress during your studies!

Forgot to mention too - that with three children, assuming your ex is the father to all of them, you would be looking at probably 25% of his income in child support payments as well.

You cant have it all ways! If you have the money to support you you should use it instead of still relying on benefits. Do you know how meny people that are on benefits who wish they can come off it but cant.

I can't understand why you're a student nurse with no income. Don't you get the bursary/loan/childcare grant package?

be warned - my friend studied to be a nurse and qualified with good pass marks.

TOOK HER 9MTHS TO GET A JOB! But thats NHS Scotlands way of cutting costs by not filling vacancies.

One job she went for had over 400 applicants.
YOU NEED TO BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THE MONEY.

Equally in other areas they are crying out for nurses. Be a bit more positive!

Don't be such a drama queen!
There are always jobs going. Maybe not in the area you're after but there are always jobs. Even if its something in a care home or on the bank if thats poss, just to give you the 6 months experience
And remember you don't have to work for the NHS, so even if theres a job freeze in your particular area, nothing to stop you going for private

As for the good pass marks??
You qualify, get your pin and thats the end of it

OP how can you have no income?
Surely you're getting a bursary, PLA and DA?
