Stopping cancellation

I posted a letter on tuesday to cancel my platinum post office credit card as i haven't used it in over a year. However i've since learnt its the only credit card that charges 0% commision on overseas purchases - so it should really be my card of choice when on hols! Is there any way i can cancel the cancellation - given they only accept cancellations by post?

Only issue is the card and a/c details are at home and i'm away with work so don't have any info until the w/e!

I would imagine they could find it, and just ask some extra security questions. It's not an automated service.

I bow to your superior knowledge! I read that at a n other website.

However i would never withdraw cash abroad with a credit card - have a debit card with no withdrawl fees for that. I'm eyeing up the santander card for a BT and thirdly i already have (hopefully!) the PO card so don't need to do another application.

So for me it seems the best bet for overseas purchases.
