Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe

I've been there several times
Recommend the white water rafting amazing - take old trainers with you - whatever shoes you take will be soaked - and its a long walk out uphill.
Also any flights over the falls are fantastic.
If you walk across the bridge into Zambia there's a place where you can see the traditional dances - check with Vic Falls hotel when its on.
There is a craft market there and lods of roadside sellers. If you have any clothes you no longer want, you can swop them for crafts - just remember how heavy the stone work will be in your luggage. OR you can just give it away - the people there REALLY need help.
If you do exchange money keep a look out for the police - it is illegal and they are trying to clamp down on it. Everyone does it. The best way is to find ex-Pats who are always looking for currency to get money out of the country, and they'll exchange in their homes (much safer) but most of them are in Harare and Bulawayo.0 -
this is all great advice.....thanks so much!!0

Just booking a safari to Namibia, Botswana and Zambia, which finishes at Livingstone. I have read that you must try both sides, however, we will probably not go to Zimbabwe just for the fact that the "great" leader is a first class prat and generally a horrible man. We may miss out on the view but thats life. Thinking about doing some activities while at Livingstone.
If you want a safari TRY THESE**BERTIE**Did you Know: It costs more than £325,000 a day to run the lifeboat service? (with no government funding) Please donate to the RNLI0 -
sorry to go completely off topic here, but could anyone recomment a company to take out travel insurance with? The post office is quoting £42. Is this is the sort of price I could expect to pay for a trip to Zimbabwe?0

Here it is https://www.junglejunction.info it is brilliant for 1 or 2 nights, I was on the original smaller island known as jungle, but my friends still in Livingstone have said bovu is much the same
Enjoy!!!
Also there is a craft market I think it's at the bottom of the airport road in Livingstone town which is better and cheaper than the one at the falls! Oh and if you want to visit a township try Nakatindi which is approx 4kms out the Nakatindi road
