Hi all!
I've recently rebuilt/built a new computer as my old one had irreparable and very annoying issues - i think a faulty motherboard.
As i'd last built it 5 years ago, with only minor upgrades since, I got a whole bunch of new kit.
My question is what is the best/most envoronmentally friendly way to dispose of the old stuff? Is there likely to be anyone interested in any of it via freecycle etc?
I have:
If any (all?) should be binned, what is the most environmentally friendly way of disposing of it?

I have:
- ATX case
- 350W PSU
- 1gb stick of RAM (DDR) - checked and working fine
- ATX motherboard and AMD processor (5 years old!) - suspected dodgy, but not verified
- PCI TV card with all leads/manuals/driver cds and remote
- various other internal and external cables
- Potentially a 80gb internal IDE drive if i'm confident i've formatted it fully...

If any (all?) should be binned, what is the most environmentally friendly way of disposing of it?

Hi
If you can give details of the 1GB RAM I might be interested in taking it off you. I need:-
DDR PC2700 or 3200
Low density
Unbuffered non ECC
CL 2.5

The working stuff and repairables can all go on eBay, gumtree, freecycle, craigslist ..... whatever you choose, there'll be someone out there who'll want to build something with them.0

I always want HDD's for the electronics - particularly old 40/80/120/250gb models. I'd happily take that off of your hands and ensure that it is securely cleared to DoD standards if you are localish / want to post.0
