Mot question
HiI didnt want to hijack anyone else thread but hoped you could help me answer this query. My MOT is due on saturday. I took it to the MOT garage on Tuesday and it failed. The only problem is my mechanic can not do the welding work that is due to it and the guy that does it for him is not due back to next week. Once this work gets done it will only take a day. Where I stay there is no othermechanics that can fix it and all the good mechanics I know elsewhere can not even look at it for 2 weeks.Does this mean my car will have to go off the road on Sunday until the work is done and the car put through another resit ?
I had tried booking in it to a garage two weeks ago but the mechanics here must do really well as they are busy !! In all honesty but they are good.

yes the only time you can drive a car without an mot on the public roads is if you are taking it to be tested and it has to be booked in as proof of that is what is happening0
