If it's going to be mainly used to clean the patio go for one of those that come with one of those dustbin lid shaped heads. Karcher call theirs the T-Racer. Your local DIY store will sell them or you can get them from plenty of places online.
I have a Karcher one and it works well on the concrete slabs.0 -

I do not think that a pressure washer would steam clean your oven, unless you can attach a kettle! Look for specialist catering cleaners for restaurants etc, they will do it if you need a steam clean.
I bought this today and it is the nads!:

Done the outhouses and it took paint off the doors and walls! Has 3 heads, 1 T-Racer for flat surfaces (walls, garage doors, walls etc . . .) ! Normal jetwash head and 1 other jet that is 50% more powerful than the other, and it is!!!!

I've got a Karcher. It came with a T-racer and was abput £100 all in. The T-racer on it's on is over £40.
Just saw PJB's link. It's like the one he has.
It's great for cement paths or slabs, and walls.0 -
The main problem with using pressure washers on concrete or man-made paving is that they take off the top layer of the material.
The paving/patio looks great afterwards (I did mine when I put the house on the market!) but they will get dirty again "quicker" !0 -
It's in the LPM (litres per minute) the higher that figure , the better the job it will do. Most machines run at 1000 psi, but Litres gfoing through is what counts. NO machine like this should be used with hot water, and non I know of will give steam under £30000

If you're not using an outdoor tap, and you're using it on a mixer tap, remember to turn the tap to the cold and not leave it a bit in the middle like my son did. We came back to find him washing his car, and water gushing out of the overflow pipe up in the loft - as the pressurised water had gone back up the hot water pipe! :eek:0
