Contribution based JSA

I was made redundant in April, and am now looking for a new job. I have not yet applied for contribution based JSA, as I was wondering whether it would have any implication on the benefits or entitlements my parents have (as I am currently living with them). They are both retired and receive state pension.
This question is only around contribution based JSA - I know I would not qualify for income based JSA as I have substantial savings.
Thanks for any help!

It would not have any affect on your parents State Pension if you claimed contribution based JSA.0 -
Thank you for the quick reply.
Is there any other benefit it could affect? I would guess not, but want to be sure.

If you're over 25 it would affect Housing and Council Tax Benefit they might get as you'd be seen as a non dependant.I'll get you, my pretty, and your little dog too!0

Thanks suelees1 - presumably earnings I had from any sources (e.g. full time employment) would also affect these for them?0

Yes the non dependant deduction is on a sliding scale depending on how much you earn. Of course that's if they claim HB and CTB. There are some exceptions for example non deps are disregarded if the HB claimant is in receipt of any rate of care component of DLAI'll get you, my pretty, and your little dog too!0

Thanks again Sue. Looking at the criteria for CTB I'm pretty certain they are not eligible to claim anyway - so me claiming JSA should not be an issue.
Thanks for your help.0
