Loan Protection Help Needed :(

Hi,

Hope someone can give me some help or adivce what to do.

I have took a Loan out with a company in 2007, and paid an extra £2100 for Protection. I was made redundant 2 days ago, so i called them up to claim on the protection as with no money coming in. They said my protection didnt cover Unemployment or Redundancy - just Life cover and sickness???? When i was sold the cover the operative told me it did cover Redundancy etc to sell it to me, No where in my paperwork or small print does it state what it actually covers, so when i recieved the documents i presumed it does, especially when the agent told me it did. As it just states Credit Care - Loan Protection.

I have had Life Cover for the last 10 years so why would i pay another £2100 again for the same thing ?............ im really confused as what to do as i was sold this with the wrong information, but then i dont have proof of that.

Hope someone can tell me what to do :(

Thx advance for any info or help.

If your recollection is correct then there could be a case for mis-selling. The fact you already had life cover does baxk this up to some degree. If you feel it was mis-sold then there is plenty of information on this and other sites on steps to take. It wont be a quick process which doesnt help your present situation.

Whatever you do,don't use a ppi recovery company. For the price of a stamp, and using the templates letters on mse, you get to keep the lot including 8% interest. I did it the other month on loans I had long forgotton about(paid off), and wasn't even sure I had ppi on, and I was refunded over £2k, which paid for flights for 4 to Barbados.

    The whole verse is actually:

    Woah, I'm going to Barbados
Woah, back to the palm trees
Woah, I'm going to see my girlfriend
Woah, in the sunny Carribean sea

Unfortunately I am not going to see my girlfriend as my dragon/wife will be with me. Oh but I can dream of a bronze young women.
