selling bulk lot of clothes on ebay...good idea or not?

hi,i have alot of clothes, over 60 items,so this weekend (10p listing for clothes)i was going to list them as a bulk lot for all of them. The brands are things like new look, topshop, ralph lauren that kind of thing, suitable for teen/20year old.theyve been used but are in good condition.
Do you think this is a good idea? Also what price should i start it at?thanks for your help.

As long as you're more interested in getting rid of them, rather than turning a big profit, then go ahead, it's what Ebay was originally all about. Obviously you're likely to make more if you do sell them all individually but that can be a pain. Also, make sure you know your postage costs, just in case you don't get any decent bids.

Maybe seperate out the 'names' Things like Ralph Lauren often fetch quite good prices even second hand.

  • thanks.I also find it hard to sell items individually-i never no what to put in the title.
also if i list as a bulk lot, what do you think a good starting price would be?

lower starting prices attract more bids as a rule but bundles of clothing can be a bit hit and miss. tbh, given the age group you have, I would be tended to list them individually, teens can be very fussy and 1/there is little chance of a teen being able to afford a big bundle of clothes themselves, and 2/ they might not appreciate their mum (or whoever) buying a big bundle for them (might be a little un-cool! lol). Baby clothes sell reasonably well as bundles due to the amount of clothes need. I think you would be better as Soo said and seperating the designer makes. Title wise- make, item size, condition (if space) ie. Ralph Lauren Medium Mens t-shirt VGC is all you need. If you have several of each designer, you could sell those as mini bundles. Good luck.

We sold some of our old baby clothes in bulk and didnt get much, so split the next ones up into 2 or three items to make whole outfits and got loads more.

I sell my extra long clothes on Ebay and always list it seperately. I find that is I am selling more than one item in the same size and I offer a postage discount people nearly fight over it.

I usually sell next and long tall sally but this time I am trying lesser known brands and hoping my postage discount will do the trick for the people who have been attracted by my long tall sally stuff.

I have it all down to go on Friday ending on Bank Holiday MOnday but is a bit tempted to wait for the 10p listen although it is going to only be 7 days then. What you guys think

I wouldn't end listings on a Bank Holiday as most people will be out for the day.

I forgot about the bank holiday at the end of May and whilst I had bidding up to the auction day, I had hardly on the day when it normally takes off - it's not worth it on a bank holiday.
