What are my Rights? - Subscriptions

Hi all,
just wondering if anyone has any advice regarding consumer rights with magazine subscriptions.
I have not recieved my weekly magazine for a month, does this constitute a failure to delivery on time and as such I can ask for compensation?
OR
As I purchased the subscription over the internet do my rights change? (have been subscribed for >1yr)
OR
Can they just offer to extend my subscription to cover the missing issues?

If they refuse to compensate where do I stand?

My personal feeling is that they should extend it and also compensate, but I cannot find anything regarding my rights for this kind of standing arrangement. Also, as it is a listings magazine, if it arrives late it is useless (not fit for purpose??)
As a side note, it is not delivered my royal mail!

Thanks for any help! Sorry this is a much briefer account of an earlier post of mine :o

I would think your rights are a choice between a refund for the undelivered issues and extension of your subscription.

Is it actually still being published?

As to compensation, what is your actual quantified loss? Assuming they refund. Sounds like zero to me.

Refund or extension, yes. Compensation, not a chance in hell.

There could feasibly be the difference between the shelf price and the subscription price if the OP bought the magazine at full price to replace the missing issues, but that could easily be resolved by extending the subscription for a couple of extra weeks.

OP - there's no mention of you contacting the company to find out what's going on? Have you done so?

No I am not "kidding" (??) I actually got the idea of compensation from Citizens Advice who state:
If you have been given a date for delivery, your goods must be delivered by that date. If they aren't delivered by then, the trader will have broken their agreement with you, and you are entitled to ask for compensation.

It is still being published (weekly) but agree there isnt much change of compensation, other than extending it perhaps a further 2 issues or something. They have already refused to refund me.

Oh and I have emailed them every week that one has been missing asking them to sort it out. They have been telling me delivery has been fixed every week.

    .

Contract law doesn't in general provide compensation for late delivery. CAB are talking through their hat. Or about different circumstances more likely

Thanks to everyone for their take on this. Using CAB advice instead I got the subscription extended and a free dining out guide as compensation, so success and shows it does pay to ask!
