Restaurant Prices in Greece? (Kriopigi, Halkidiki)

I've found a really nice holiday to Greece next month, to a small place called Kriopigi in the resort of Halkidiki. It's only B&B, so I'd be doing a lot of eating in restaurants, but I have absolutely no idea how much this is likely to cost, and was wondering if anyone could give me an idea? I realise it will vary greatly between restaurants, but if anyone could tell me how much I should expect to pay for an average meal in a Greek restaurant that would be great, especially if you're familiar with this particular area of Greece.

Hi Rebecca,
Been to Greece quite a few times though not yet to Halkidiki.
In our experience taverna (restaurant) prices haven't increased greatly in the last few years - although you get fewer Euros to the pound these days.
Starters are likely to be anything from 3 - 7 Euros each. Main courses anything from 6 - 12 Euros. Fish other than sardines, squid, octupus etc is more expensive. The food we like ie proper greek food eg moussaka rather than steaks etc is usually cheaper anyway. It's normal to share dishes (meze). Local wine by the carafe is very cheap and usually very drinkable maybe 9 Euros/litre. If you like beer/lager the local Mythos is good. There are 3 of us including a little one, we rarely pay more than 40 Euros for a very substantial meal, sometimes it's even under 30 Euros.
Have a lovely time, we are off to Skiathos soon, will get to Halkidiki one day! :beer:0
