whats the threshold for working tax credits

I have just been on entitled to website and put our figures in and it says we should be entitled to working tax credits aswell as tax credits .I have either done something wrong on the website or the threasehold for working tax credit has gone up .I have listed our earnings

me -i get sickness benefit earnings for last year -£5400
husband works full time earnings for last year -£17,300

so combined income £22,700 ???

    We get just over £18000 a year combined we do not get working tax credits

    Keanefan is right, i know we applied for the year 08-09 i think it was was and our salary was just over £18,000 i think and we got turned down...

    Entitled to is only a guide and it got our figures wrong...
  • When you apply for Tax Credits there is no ditinction between Working Tax Credit and Child Tax Credit... both are paid together and administered in exactly the same way and using the same computer system so if you have a claim in for Child Tax Credits and all of your details are correct on the system, you will automatically receive Working Tax Credit if you meet the eligibility criteria.

    For a more accurate calculation I advise using the entitlement calculator on the HMRC website.

    so how much can you earn if you have children and still receive full working tax credit ?? or at least some etc...??

    I think it's around £16K per annum or so - but I think for the amount you would actually get with that income, you're better just to try and increase your income by working more.
