My daughter has hayfever and excezma (sp) and my local co-op chemist automatically tell you that you can buy them cheaper off the shelf. so the last time she needed refills we didn't bother with a prescription.
Just tell the chemist what you normally use and they should be able to sort you out.

Definately fill in the HC1 form, my student son filled one in last summer and was not entitled to any help but he filled in another one in October when he was actually at uni and paying rent and received the certificate to get free prescriptions, dentistry and free eye test with voucher towards free glasses.0

I got some benadryl on offer, 2 for £4 in my local chemist. I'll defionetly look into the form though; i wear specs so it will be handy when i need to get a new pair too

until your HC2 certificate comes through you can ask for a special receipt from your pharmacist for any prescriptions and then you can claim back the costs when your certificate arrives.0
