The hard drive died and alas I have replaced it but I have no back up disk and I cannot find the drivers needed to recognize the new HD in BIOS anywhere online, Gateway were hopeless - "we only have a .exe file from within windows".

So I need to install from USB drive or disc but Gateway don't support such ?

I'm sure someone here is better than a gateway monkey :)

Thanks in advance techie peeps :D
If I helped or saved you money - Thank me
If I helped you spend some money - spank me
If I done both - :lipsrseal me:eek:

You dont need drivers for the BIOS to see a new hard drive, if its not showing it may be that you havnt got it set to master.
    Here today, hospital tomorrow :(
