Uni Grant-Am I Entitled?

Options
ondering if I might be entitled to a grant of some or all or the tuition fee. I understand I can be treated as independent from them if I have provided for myself for the past 3 years.

The reason I'm unsure whether to apply for the grant is because although I am totally independent of my parents i only been for the last 2 years, as 3 years ago I was unemployed after being made redundant, altogether i've been working for 6 years but a gap of 1 while I was looking for work

any help will be much appreciated

Which course are you taking? NHS funded degrees entitles students to a bursary. Have you thought about a student loan to help you out? :)

Also, if it's a part time course, the usual independent rules don't apply.

The three year period needed to claim independent status doesn't need to be consecutive years and also includes any time spent on benefits.
