tesco till spit glitch

I can honestly say that anyone that got served by me last might probably got wrong end of my manners. I just wish people could follow simple instructions on a self serve till. If it says card only and asks you to confirm you are paying by card why then do they wonder and complain that it will not take cash.

I think the night must bring out stupid people after midnight. Who would do a full weeks shopping with the whole family at 2am.

New rules at tesco say that they can only take vouchers for things you have bought. They might be getting tightened up either further in June, there is talk of them not accepting all vouchers even if you have bought the stuff.

We've cut down on our food shopping bills lately, and also tried other supermarkets for a change.

The last 3 weeks on a trot, Tescos have given us £4 off a £30 spend till splits. They must be trying to keep our custom.

Well I am miffed now, we spend loads 100 quid plus every week at Teso and I have had no till vouchers not even for petrol for ages now not a thing just a dam receipt!!

Should I ask CS why I am not getting any?

Best if u n ur significant other (pc) have card each then either put ur main shopping on one n just pay for few goods using the other or just split the shop in half or three if u have more cards..... Thing is if u spend lots all the time they just wont give u any incentive cos obviously u dont need any, the girls on the till tell me they give loads out on 5, 6, 7, 8, quid spend.... Size of voucher depends on how much you spend, or so it seems. If you spend £30 you get one for so much off £30 spend. Highest one I have seen is £9 off £90. I honestly can say I haven't seen one come out of a self serve till.

I would agree with sinw, the way to go is to have a seperate clubcard accounts for yourself and OH and use one account for a few weeks then swap to the other, the system then thinks you are shopping elsewhere and next small spend could well give a tillspit. We also have had money off coupons sent, not with the clubcard statements, but randomly, for £5 off £50 etc.

We have recently been getting tillspits on both accounts and have £10 off £70, and £7 off £50 to be used by this Sunday.
Can anyone help me with these, is the £70 the net amount after 2 for 1s etc, or the gross price ? I have always made the price to pay be the voucher amount, but it would be great to know it was the gross amount.
