Help!! Problems with a balance transfer

in Credit cards
Hoping somebody can help me.
On the 4th May I arranged a balance transfer from mbna to my nil balalance tesco credit card. For several reasons on the same day I rang them back and cancelled it, to which there was no problem. Imagine my shock when I went i nto my online account on the 6th May to find that balance transfer and their fee sitting in my account. I was furious and rang them, and after a bit of time wasting they advised me my case had been passed to a manager and she will be listening to the phone calls between me and the csa to ascertain what was said. Well it seems that several phone calls later, although a very nice agent is dealing with my case, the manager has still not finished investigating my complaint. So something that should have been dealt with easily is now turning in to a drama. I would have thought speed is the important thing here to enable the debt to be sent back to mbna, particularly as later on the 4th May (after cancelling with tesco) I arranged the balance transfer with my bank and that is going through as we speak. Any ideas what i can do next, if anything at all? and how long does a balance transfer take to go through?

Can take up to 10 days, but in practice more like 3 days.
Apart from that, it's a case of waiting to see what their internal investation shows - you've got until you need to make your first minimum payment so wouldn't worry too much about it.
EDIT: Are you saying that it appeared on your Tesco card or that you asked Tesco to reject the payment from MBNA? Not clear how your bank comes into it."A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0
