Hi everyone
Firefox runs fine once it has opened, but is very slow to start up, and sometimes doesn't start at all. Occasionally it displays this error message:
Thanks loads.
PS I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox. My OS is Vista.

Can anyone suggest what I should do to sort things out, please?A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.

Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Is it just firefox thats slow or is it the computer in general too?
You can try running firefox in its safe mode to determine if an add on is causing the problem ~
http://www.killertechtips.com/2008/04/14/run-internet-explorer-and-firefox-without-addons/
Id also be checking for nasties ~
Download MALWAREBYTES (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/
Open malwarebytes and goto UPDATE and click 'check for updates'. After its updated goto SCANNER and click PERFORM FULL SCAN then click SCAN
Remove everything thats found (needs to be ticked)
Post the COMPLETE log here AFTER youve deleted everything it finds
reboot
Download HIJACK THIS (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD THIS VERSION')
http://www.filehippo.com/download_hijackthis/2894/
Click MAIN MENU then DO A SYSTEM SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE(Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running
(do NOT do anything else with Hijack but scan and post the FULL log):idea:0 -
Could be a Java issue judging by this thread. Doesn't fix it for everyone but worth a try.0
