is the right forum for lowering sky tv costs? if so has anyone had any luck trying to haggle down the cost?

If you phone up and ask to cancel (the only way to lower costs) you mostly get half price for three months or 25 - 40% for 6 - 12 months, sometimes so many months for 75p, it all depends.

If you get the 3 months half price, when you call again to cancel you will then get 2 months 40% off.

I've had several offers over the years, I've had satellite before Sky was broadcasting, it's not the same now Sky has brainwashed almost everyone into believing satellite = Sky.

I'm now without any Sky subscription and can honestly say I've rarely missed it, but then I'm not bothered about sports and film channels.

You are better off without it, spend the money on something else, I will now use the money to go away a few times a year.

Totally agree with BexTech.

Had Sky+ and multiroom, had many sky discounts over the years, just finished 6 months half price and now cancelled, got a Topfield dual tuner 250GB Freeview box which will pay for itself after 6 months of no Sky.

Same for me, can't say I miss Sky at all....prices are way to high for what you get
