Grr at B&Q

So i spend weeks trying to sort out and decide on blinds for dd's room..i decide on these:

http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav.jsp?action=detail&fh_secondid=9788538&fh_view_size=10&fh_location=%2f%2fcatal!!!1%2fen_GB&fh_search=roman+blind+white&fh_eds=%c3%9f&fh_refview=search&ts=1273592582202&isSearch=true

So get to store 1..they don't have any despite having 2..second store i had to wait 25 mins while numerous people checked for the ones ide reserved and nothing..3rd store i was going to get my sister to get and again nothing although they have 3 in stock..just rung the main number to be told there are none in the country to which i suggested they took them off the website..he then tells me they can be ordered in store for me but will take 2-5 weeks..err no i dont think so seeing as i enquired about it in one store and was told no. Also no home delivery available so said id'e look elsewhere!

No impressed to say the least.

OP, please re-read your posts in the mindset of somebody who doesn't know you or know what had happened and see if it makes sense, because I really have no idea what you have just tried to say.

Possibly, B&Q's reserve and collect system is a worthless exercise really. Ive had similar dealings when I reserved a Xmas tree in December only to be told that 'actually, we dont have any'.

The way it works is this, customer reserves item at 6pm for collection next day. Store doesn't remove that item from the shelf straight away, if at all before the store closes. That leaves hours of the item on the shelf where it can be purchased by anyone.
To add to this, B&Q computers don't update until store closure at 10pm, so the site will tell you its in stock, but it only has info from the night before.

Its an awful, pointless system which to me just serves to further frustrate customers a lot of the time.

OP, your blind is showing as in stock (low stock) at the Meir Park, Stoke on Trent Store. You could try and call them but I dont hold out much hope its actually in stock...

Hi i have just re read it and it reads fine to me!..it is irrelevant as to who knows me or the situation etc as that is the situation above?! Basically i have been given the huge run around all day on a wild goose chase for something that is advertised as in stock and blatently not.

B&Q reserve and collect is rubbish, we checked online for a BBQ which according to that was 'out of stock', we went instore and there it was so we promptly bought it and as we were going out of the store we passed a couple arguing with the sales staff that they had reserved that BBQ online (we walked a bit quicker!!)
:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:

Lol..oops! I have to say while the woman was trying to find someone to check in one store i noticed the seconds/discounted bit and went over..there lo and behold was one of the blinds for £6 (down from £20)..the woman came over and i said 'oh this is one of them i'm after'..she said 'oh that's good just need to find another then' i said 'well you dont have any plus take a look at it'..it was filthy..not even £6 would make me buy it..i put it down and said thanks for your help but think ill just give up!
    It's a shocking system!
