Hi all
I'm working on an update to our consumer rights guide (probabaly to go in the weekly email next week).
I've tried to cover a whole range of issues but it'd be great if you could take 30 seconds to note your key consumer rights questions for me to see if i've missed anything.
No promises they'll all make it into the guide but all suggestions apprecitated
Thanks, Wendy

The main ones we see a lot on here are:
"I bought something online at a low price, but then they told me it was wrong and cancelled my order. What are my rights?"
"I thought my item had a two year warranty from the manufacturer, but the retailer tells me they only offer one year. Who do I go to?"
"I signed up for a month's trial of X service a month ago, and now they've charged me a full subscription. Do I have any rights?"
"The retailer has taken my item to repair, and it's come back saying that it's damage not covered by the guarantee. What do I do?"
"I saw an item at a lower price in another branch/on another day/online/in a catalogue. Should they honour it?"Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
Now 20% cooler0 -
And please, please, please have something in there regarding consumer rights when the buyer wants to return something as they have just changed their mind, not when it's faulty/damaged etc...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

Removal of rolling contracts unless the customer specifies
I think its anticompetitive I realise some companies have aright to tie customers in if there is a cost implication for providing a service but I dont agree that customers should be tied in after a time limit say 12 months if there is a cost
Companies that provide telecoms and utilities are prime example0
