Please help with advice about Paymentshield redundancy cover.

I was made redundant late last year and thank god, I had cover with Paymentshield. They have been very good and paid out each month, however I notice that I have to be in receipt of job seekers allowance to be entitled to claim. I am about to come to the end of my 6 months contribution based jsa and I am not sure that I qualify for income based job seekers allowance. If I no longer get jsa but am still out of work, will paymentshield still pay up? If not, I am in big trouble. Please help...

    Hi

At the end of your 6 month contribution based JSA you can apply for income based jsa. You can still go in to sign even if you are not getting any money. So don't worry , as long as you sign and turn up nothing to worry about, why don't you give the benefit delivery centre a call ? just to confirm what i have said.
