Tesco e coupons.

Has anyone else had problems with Tesco refusing to accept e vouchers on net orders? I have lost out on 500 clubcard points with no explanation from Tesco after sending them an complaint through e mail. I am disgusted that they can do this without informing customers first. In fact I was so annoyed I am reverting to shopping at Sainsburys. Tesco are getting too big for their boots and standing on us little people, but I am fighting back, they can stuff their points for carrier bags system ,Sainsburys were the first to do this anyway.

Yes I have. I had two vouchers one for free delivery with a wine order and one for £10 off an order of wine. These were both sent to me personally by Tesco. I went to use both of them in the same order which I know people have done in the past and it wouldn't let me. I had a reply from Tesco with said I could no longer use two xx vouchers for the same order.

Oh, I've had several problems with Extra Points from codes/vouchers not appearing on my balance.

There was the 1200 points on Wine from March this year - I ended up suing them for those through the County Court to the value of £48 (their value in Deals) and only then did they pay up.

Plus I never got the 200 points for taking out a 14 day trial of Tesco DVD Rental, or the 1000 points for Tesco Pet Insurance.

Total 2400 points (£96 in Deals) which they didn't fork out. And I must stress these were all legit offers and codes which Tesco sent to me through the post, not dodgy codes I got off websites.

There must be something seriously wrong with Tesco's systems for these problems to keep happening. All I can suggest is that people pursue them through the County Courts like I did. It's the only way they will change their ways.

You sued them for such a small amount?? Did they get awarded costs? Why didn't I hear about this in the news!?!?!

Yes, I sued them for £48 as a matter of principle as I was sick to the back teeth of their lies and excuses. I wasn't prepared to sit back and wait nearly a year for my points when Tesco were in clear breach of contract. It was an absolute doddle, took me about 15 minutes, and everyone should do it instead of moaning and doing nothing.

They settled out of court, as they knew they didn't stand a cat's chance in hell if it went before a judge.

In order for them to have been awarded costs, they would have needed to fight the case in court and win. Which of course did not happen.

I'd imagine you didn't hear about it in the news because they have bigger fish to fry!

So did they refund the fees you had to pay then??

Yep, they paid me the £48 I claimed for plus the court fee of £30. Total £78.
